    Description

    This is a pair of vivid, hand-painted scenes on silk, believed to be from India. The age is estimated at early to mid-20th century. They are unframed, and for many years they have been carefully stored and protected, rolled in thin paper (the paper now browned with age). Each measures 25 1/2 by 17 inches. Both paintings are in excellent condition, with no tears, wrinkles, holes, odors, or other problems. The colors are vibrant, and the subject matter appealing and traditional. There are no signatures or markings, either on the paintings or on the paper in which they are stored.
